1. Who We Are

Paragon Learning LLC is an Austin-based education company that designs and delivers Android and mobile-engineering courses. For the purposes of data-protection law we are the controller of the personal information described below. You can reach our privacy contact at contact@paragonlearningll.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what a course actually requires:

• Enrolment details — your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, company and job title when you supply them.
• Learning records — which lessons you opened, assignment submissions, quiz results and certificates issued, so we can track your progress and prove your completion.
• Payment information — order amount, currency, date and the last four digits and brand of your card. We never see, store or process your full card number; that is handled entirely by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor.
• Support correspondence — the messages you send us and our replies.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type and pages viewed, collected in server logs for security and troubleshooting.

We do not ask for and do not want your government identification numbers, health data, religious or political views, or any other special-category information. Please do not send it to us.

3. How We Use It

• To give you access to the course you bought and to record your progress and certification.
• To take payment and to issue receipts, invoices and refunds.
• To answer your questions and provide technical support.
• To send service messages that are part of the course — timetable changes, new modules, cohort reminders.
• To keep the platform secure and to detect fraudulent or abusive use.
• To improve our teaching, using aggregated and de-identified statistics.

4. Marketing — Opt In Only

You will only receive promotional email if you actively ask for it. We do not add customers to a marketing list simply because they bought a course, and every message we do send carries a one-click unsubscribe that takes effect immediately. Unsubscribing never affects your access to a course you have paid for.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and protect forms against abuse. We also use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics to understand which lessons cause learners to get stuck. We do not run third-party advertising pixels, cross-site retargeting or data-broker scripts on this website. You may block non-essential cookies in your browser without losing access to any course feature.

6. Who We Share It With

We share personal data only with service providers who need it to run the business, and only under contract. These fall into a short list of categories: payment processing, email delivery, cloud hosting, video streaming for lessons, and customer-support tooling. Each is bound to use the data solely on our instructions.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We will disclose data to a public authority only where we are legally compelled to, and where the law allows it we will tell you first.

7. How Long We Keep It

• Learning records and certificates: for as long as your account is open, then 3 years, so we can re-issue a certificate you may need for employment.
• Payment and tax records: 7 years, because United States tax law requires it.
• Support correspondence: 2 years.
• Server security logs: 12 months.

When a retention period ends, records are deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

8. Your Rights

Wherever you live, we extend the same core rights to every learner:

• Access — get a copy of everything we hold about you.
• Correction — fix anything inaccurate.
• Deletion — have your record erased, subject only to records we must keep for tax or fraud-prevention purposes.
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable file.
• Objection and restriction — tell us to stop a particular use.
• Withdraw consent — at any time, without penalty.
• No discrimination — exercising any right will never change your price, your access or the service you receive.

Email contact@paragonlearningll.com and we will respond within 30 days, free of charge. We will never require you to create an extra account or pay a fee to make a request.

9. Security

All traffic to this site is encrypted in transit with TLS. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Administrative access is limited to the smallest number of people who need it and protected by multi-factor authentication. Backups are encrypted at rest. If a breach ever affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant regulator promptly, describe what happened in plain language, and tell you what to do about it.

10. International Transfers

Our servers and providers are primarily located in the United States. If you enrol from outside the United States, your data will be transferred there, protected by contractual safeguards including standard contractual clauses where required.

11. Children

Our courses are designed for adults and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. Learners aged 16 or 17 may enrol with verifiable consent from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Automated Decisions

We do not use automated profiling to make decisions that affect your rights, your pricing or your eligibility to enrol. Grading of assignments is reviewed by a human instructor.

13. Changes to This Notice

If we make a material change we will email active learners at least 14 days before it takes effect, so you have time to object or close your account. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
